Discover Hessle

The Black Cat Tea Room is nestled in the beautiful village of Hessle on the outskirts of Hull. Hessle is part of the Trans-Pennine Trail, making us a perfect spot for hungry cyclists. One of the main attractions in our area is the remarkable Humber Bridge. This feat of engineering attracts many visitors throughout the year. Why not make a day of it and take in the sights before stopping for a well-earned rest in our comfortable tea room?

Local Produce

We’re proud to use locally sourced products when freshly preparing our delicious food. Plus, all of our cakes are homemade, right here in the tea room. You’re welcome to enjoy your meal within our friendly, comfortable tea room, or take your snack to go. We’re happy to set up a table outside for you to watch the world go by.

About Us

There’s no finer place to enjoy lunch or afternoon tea than at  The Black Cat Tea Room. Based in Hessle East Yorkshire, the husband & wife team run tea room offers a fantastic selection of appetising treats, including scones, homemade cakes, and ice cream sundaes. All day breakfasts, paninis, light lunches, and afternoon tea selections are also available. Of course, we also provide a brilliant variety of hot and cold drinks – including tea and barista coffee.

Established in 2016 The Black Cat has built up a large and loyal customer base, and it is the most visited tearoom in Hessle and the surrounding areas. something which the owners and team are extremely proud of.
